Château de Bourdeau

Regional Nature Park of the Chartreuse

The Chartreuse massif has a strong identity and was an obvious choice to become a regional natural park in 1995.

A green showcase with a halo of white limestone cliffs, the Chartreuse can reveal to those who are interested a unique wealth of natural and human heritage.
With its gateway towns of Chambéry to the north, Grenoble to the south and Voiron to the west, the rural and mountainous Chartreuse can be forward-looking whilst preserving its green spaces.
Straddling Isère and Savoie, the Chartreuse regional natural park covers 69,000 hectares and 52 towns and villages
Altitude: 2082
